Once again a fab time, a few tears and lots of hugs. (Dearest has not had so many hugs in his life!!!!!)
As the cast said....it is a family...a family that has helped me get through the loss of my youngest Daughter and who, like Gary, is remembered.
If any of you have any doubts, please try and come to the next one, even if you are a shy retiring type (like myself!!!!!Grin)

Once again, thankyou to Hazel and Andy for getting everything organised and to PC for supplying the tea (and bacon butties). to Scott, to Phil, to Lucy...the list is endless.
Now for nice cuppa and an early night. 4.30 am is not a good time to get up.

But Gary would have been proud of everyone!

Great to see you Sue and everyone else yesterday.

You got home before me. I helped pack up and we left just after 7pm. I remembered to take off my horns before I got in the car to drive home!

It was a fabulous day, Team Blake did a fabulous job and Gary would indeed be proud.

In different news, I have become a parent for this time. Moony, as I have rather unimaginatively called her, has already had plenty of attention and I'm just about to put her in my back pocket before I walk up the shops.

Spent a couple of hours at S-L-C on Sunday. So, after the small matter of 43 years, I finally got to go to my second B7 event. A kind of closure, really. I found Sasha Mitchell's contribution especially compelling - a great counterpoint to Paul Darrow's take on filming 'Blake' on the very day I heard him speak all those decades ago.
You shouldn't do that, should do that...

I know this is going to sound daft but,,,,,,, There was a few people there who I didn't meet who I liked to meet so (probably been suggested before) how about made up name badges (online name) so you can go ahhh so that's (insert name).
As I said I spoke to Lorna , she even took my pic, wasn't till alot later someone pointed Lorna out lol.
I think it would be a good icebreaker, for the new people, first timers, reserved people.
Any thoughts, I know there be negatives but if not compulsory but a suggestion I think it could do well.

I think this is a great idea! We see so many people in the Forum - yet we don't necessarily know who to chat to when we meet up. I'd certainly (voluntarily) do this!

Anyway - we're Down and Safe. Back home after a lovely day. It was our first ever Convention (B7 or otherwise) and I certainly had a lovely day. I didn't take many pictures - spent most of the time just talking it all in.

I understand there's a Facebook page - where can I find this (i.e. is it a B7 Online FB page, or are we talking about individual peoples pages)?

A big thank you to the organisers - and everyone we spoke to. Sorry - I didn't remember anyone's name (little name badges would be a great idea, wouldn't it).

I've got lots of posters and other merch to put up around the house, so this meet-up will be something I'll remember for a long time.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Perhaps next time you could take some sheets of peel-off stickers and a marker pen, sneak past the vigilent Sharon, and stand inside the door as if you are an official. Then, as people come in, you could tell them to write their name and/or online handle on a sticker.

PS Just where did you get that burgundy Polo shirt?

Hello Rachel- Yours and OracvZen's idea for name badges is a good one. Often times we at Horizon go by different names than our own and that causes all sorts of problems trying to identify people you converse online to. Often, especially we Mods and Admins, go to conventions and bring our own home-made badges with our club name, actual name and our screen name on it so people can find us and we can meet and also point them in the direction of other fans and members of the various clubs. But in future, great idea, especially for the Teem Blake affairs.

As to Facebook sites for Blake's 7- look no further. My husband Brad and I are Moderators here on Horizon and Administrators on the Blake's 7 Fan's site which has over 7,000 members now. I help Moderate the Totally Blake's 7 site on Facebook too. That also has thousands of members now. There is the Steven Pacey Fans site. Also Blake's 7 Props and Costumes site, Blake's 7 Liberator site and Blake's 7 Locations site. And I'm probably missing a few sites. Just type the various titles out and you should be taken to the sites in question. There are plenty of photos of the most recent Steventon convention to see and also a lively conversation on-going on many of the sites. We'd love to have you join our groups on Facebook. Welcome in advance!

I went to my parents' house yesterday (both my parents are in their late 80s) and they always want to know what I've bee up to. Conversation went something like this:
Mum: So, what have you been up to?
Me: Well - We went to a Blakes7 contention last Sunday.
Mum: Oh wow! I remember Blakes7 - it was really good wasn't it. Gosh - are you still into that?

She was referring to my obsession with Blakes7 that I had when I was 7 or 8 and first started watching it when it was originally aired. Yes mum - I'm still into that!

I told my parents what a great day we had and how lovely everybody was.
