Arrival 8 The Chimes of Big Ben 6 A B or C 9 Ah you rate it a 9, eh? Interesting, very interesting Yes - I seem to be alone in finding last week's the weakest episode. And I've always been partial to sinister 60s scientists. The Chimes Of Big Ben is my favourite or maybe joint favourite (alongside The Girl Who Was Death) of the entire lot. It's got the best No 2 (Leo McKern), plus one of No 6's best attempts to escape - for a moment, you think he's made it back to London (except I did remember the twist). It's also about the closest he ever comes to revealing why he resigned - he's in the process of saying why the Chimes Of Big Ben strike. Back in 1992 or whenever I first saw it (it was repeated on Channel 4), the first episode intrigued me - but it was the second that completely draw me in. I don't mind A, B and C, but for me, it's more run-of-the-mill episode with a low threat level. No 6 is on top the whole time - the experiment isn't close to succeeding. Vote Og.

I will either not be here tomorrow, or I will be late, as I have to go to Edinburgh to see my mother. |
