Do all BBC spaceships have metal walls?

Well metal in space ships is quite helpful.

Yeah, I'm not sure if spaceships made out of bananas would work as well!

Why not? But my point is they all look exactly the same. Boring. And other races would probably have developed different technologies, using - for example - ceramics, glass etc.

I just think it shows a lack of imagination on the BBC's part.

I mean, they could have brightened things up with a few holograms. Or even projected backgrounds. Instead, they more or less invented steampunk.

Who is? So is he the son-in-law of Peter Davison, then? Dr Who is starting to look very incestuous.

That was wonderful! I don't think I've seen it since it first came out, but (apart from Zaphod's extra head) it really stands up well.

Yes indeed it does. It was so outstanding then and it still outshines most tv now.

Anyway, going to have to dash, and sadly I'm going to miss next week because I have a meeting, but I will look forward to the week after next very much.

Yes, I did. I have even seen her, as the wife in 'Barefoot in the Park', I think with Peter as her husband.

OK, I'm not wildly impressed, TBH. TV makes everything happen at once... and loudly. But you knew I was going to prefer the books, didn't you? The casting is good, and it does hang together nicely, though. See you next time anyway.

I've changed my mind. Not Arthur Dent with Ford Prefect rising....
Just Marvin. But hey I'm saying how intelligent you are! See you Tuesday. Grin

I was still watching. Terrific stuff!

I love HHGTTG in book, radio or TV form. Only the movie failed!
