Did you watch Snow Queen? Nto only have I watched it, it was my daughter's favourite story and I had to read it every Christmas Eve. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Did you watch Snow Queen? There have been a few different versions of it. Your version looks very interesting. I'll use your link and do the post unless you'd like to do it? Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

That was fun, but I've got to dash now. How about the Snow Queen next week? Good thinking Batgirl. Make it so! Which version? Or does that decision rest with whoever starts the thread? "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Well, Anne decided and other people agreed, it seems. As for the version, I gave links to three stories which could be interesting to watch. Edited by Taiellin on 20-11-2025 21:16 |

Sorry - almost forgot to thank OSP for tonight's choice. Lots of fun and games: it was great to see BB not shouting!

Is there any appetite to go ghostly again pre-Xmas? |

I always like a bit of ghostly goings on. But enough of that. Have you any ghost tales in mind, Cyggy?

If we're talking about the MR James Ghost Story for Christmas series (and why wouldn't we be?), maybe The Treasure of Abbot Thomas or The Stalls of Barchester.* They're not on YT. The only one there (except the two rewatched last year) is 'A View from a Hill' (the first of the revivals; 2005, so not a Mark Gatiss job ). Can't remember frick-all about it, except I was 'stoked' MRJ was back in the Yuletide telly schedule. As the old saying goes: 'No Jamesy, No Jingly'. Edit: * Or The Signalman, though that's Dickens. F-in-Nora - they're ALL on there! Up to 2021, at any rate. It's like the ultimate supernatural selection box. But which one's the Curly Wurly? https://archive.org/details/a-ghost-s...(1976).mkv |

Pick yr potato. If it's potatoes you want I suggest we mash together a double bill of 'Lost Hearts' (quite a nasty one, so that would keep our Virny happy) and 'The Signalman' (though that was the year they gave MRJ Christmas off). They're both around 35 minutes, so we'd have it all Christmas-wrapped up by 9-ish. Perhaps you could put this simply irresistible proposal to Thursday evening's meeting of the lodge? Should the motion be carried, we could maybe book in Mild Fright Night* for Dec 4th. *Edit: Bearing in mind it's not THAT 'orrible/'arrowing by 'modern' standards, maybe we could brand it Fright-Night Lite Edited by Cygnus Bazza on 26-11-2025 12:32 |

I'll get my teddy ready. I love a nice bit of atmosphere but need my cuddly companion. Just in case... Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!
