Not sure I buy all this 'planet will avenge itself' mysticism.

Gan has no idea what's going on.

There are some scary people in this world. And they have power...

So we need to be ready for them, and THINK.

Worse, he's going to die during a dull and pompous speech.

Oh here it comes...

No, he's going to die during his own speech.

Interestingly, I was recently reading the twitter feed of someone who thinks that it would be better to put all our research into making Mars habitable, than dealing with climate change.

Science fiction has a lot to answer for.

Nothing dates so much as the intellectual fads of the previous generation.

What's ours then?

But if the plutonium is in a loch, is it not poisoning an entire eco-system?

We'll know in 20 years' time!

Not with a bang, but a whimper?

I doubt it. Gan's too nice. And he has a limiter.

See, what I am worried about is that plutonium in the loch - what damage did it do in the time it was in there?

AnneArthur
I hope Craven didn't fall into the loch and poison it.

It's a story, Anne.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

AnneArthur
Well, that was a let down. Shark after shark after shark - all jumped. It went from being a realistic thriller to something weird and silly.

Jedburgh had packed it in chalk as a filter/protection so damage would have been limited

I think Craven died where he was, just sad (and angry) about Emma. He'd increase the local background radiation count a bit, but it's not a place many people will ever go. Harcourt would recover the body and see it was properly buried - lead lined coffin, remember.

For how long? I just don't believe that. They seem to have been being as criminally reckless as the people who were running Northmoor.

In my mind...and this may reveal me as being Gaia minded... Craven turns into a tree.....

Nothing to be ashamed of there. I hope people plant a tree over my body when I go. Looking forward to it.

'Scaring' and 'killing' are two different things.

I'm afraid that I will always think that I don't care. Still, for four episodes I did care, and did enjoy it - perhaps I could invent a better last two? And it was an interesting rewatch.

Aside from the 'entertainment', what was this about? The dangers of plutonium? Of megalomaniacs? Of government collusion? Of double-agents? Golf?
How has anything change since?
