Very much liked Arrival. Definitely a scene setter for the rest of the series. It really goes to town on showing us Portmeirion - which is better known these days, but was still largely unknown in 1967 and therefore a mystery to viewers. Patrick McGoohan is perfect as No 6. He's bad tempered enough to give Avon, Blake or Greg from Survivors a run for their money! Arrival presents us with a mystery, although it's also not as oppressive as some other episodes, as Cobb does leave the Village without dying. Vote Og.

Yes, I had forgotten that he doesn't really die. Yup, I'd forgotten that twist too. It seems you can escape the Village - if you sell your soul to the devil! Vote Og.

And number 2 is now Inspector Wexford/the Emperor Tiberius. It's quite neat that No 2 changes (without explanation) during the episode. Gets us used to that No 2 will change frequently. Edited by trevor travis on 30-11-2023 18:24 Vote Og.
