The lack of any music at all is really quite intrusive. Quite clever. |

I wonder if playing my recorder would do that? In your case, yes. You and the Prof do seem...alike.... But I don't try to talk and eat at the same time. There's something not quite right about the sound balance so far. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Someone who obviously did not read The Magician's Nephew as a child. Had it been written when he was a child? "You're not sulking, I hope?"

I wondered if this might be the dreaded Bamburgh beach again, but there are groynes, which I think Bamburgh does not have. I think this is classic East Anglia, isn't it? That's certainly where the story's set. Doesn't mean they have to film there, though! I think it was filmed there Any idea exactly where? |

There's something not quite right about the sound balance so far. Not as bad as the rubbish sound on BofD... in this case, is it meant to sound a bit rough? Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

Apropos of very little, the best bit of East Anglian coast is at Aldeburgh (and thereabouts). Even though it's not sandy. Really atmospheric and Peter Grimes-y |

Michael Horden certainly has the annoyingly pedantic and disputatious academic down to a T. |

Groynes are definitely more likely on an easterly coast. The television adaptation was filmed on the Norfolk coast, at Waxham and nearby. so says Wikipedia. Is that what we're watching? "You're not sulking, I hope?"

The original story makes great play of the 'linen face'. We don't really get that here |
