The episode: Albert Thirteen – Orac (Carry On By The Seaside) The date: Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which the crew and Servalan and Travis finds themselves in a race to get hold of a talking fish called Orac (nice bit of misdirection there, Mr. Lorrimer); Avon’s extended playing of rockets in the last episode has given most of the crew radiation sickness (and he didn’t even get to show Meegat his rock collection); Blake decides to keep a captain’s log for one week only; Travis has flat feet, while Vila gets a wet one; and the season ends with a bang! Episode in a word: Orac (the episode title nails it!). Character to cheer: Old Ensor is wonderfully bad-tempered and eccentric. Character to boo: Blake, for wasting time by trying to block the passageway, instead of getting Ensor back to the Liberator ASAP. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: Derek Farr (Ensor The Elder) appeared in the opening episode of the New Avengers as a Nazi. Not too long before this. He also had an impressive filmography, including films such as the Dam Busters. Best exchange: BLAKE: “Good shot, Avon.” AVON: “I was aiming for his head.” Blake's 7 will return… or will it? Vote Og.

From the Electronic Journal of Roj Bear Well, since we (temporarily) rescued Ensor Jr, neither The Boss, Cuddly Jenna, Cuddly Gan, nor Vila can be cuddled due to radiation poisoning. That just leaves my non-cuddling namesake (Roj Not-Bear), and Cally. So, after Ensor Jr died, we’re off to save Ensor Sr, by delivering the power cells for his bionic heart, and hope he has anti-radiation drugs for the aforementioned temporary non-cuddlers in our crew. As the Ensors have been in hiding for decades, would this be a good time to inquire about the possible expiration dates on anti-radiation drugs???? TT, please explain later. So, myself, the Boss, and the other temporary non-cuddlers mentioned above are stuck on Liberator, while my namesake and Cally go down to help Ensor Sr. As we were stuck on Liberator, we have no idea what happened on Aristo, but eventually the Boss got impatient and we went down, along with Vila and his wet foot. (I hope he doesn’t short out). It appears Roj Not-Bear let Ensor Sr die (that’s two for two counting Ensor Jr from last time), but Roj Not-Bear recovered Orac, a super (and I use the word under protest) computer. My namesake and Cally would not have made their escape if the Boss hadn’t shot Travis in his gun hand. I will never understand why The Boss listened to my namesake and stopped shooting. I think it might have something to do with Equity contracts or some such. (TT Please explain later). So, we have two dead Ensors, one live Travis, one live Servalan, and a Perspex box that says we’re all going to die a horrible fiery death. But at least Jenna, Gan, and Vila can cuddle again, (if only they would). TTFN, Roj Bear . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |
