We are back on Cygnus Alpha

I have the photo and I still laugh over it.

The record of that whole fan visit is still with us - it's waiting in the Admin sandbox for us to reformat it for the new site. Apologies! One day we'll catch up with everything.

Great Vila episode this!

My favorite part of this episode is when Vila pours on the charm and tries to chat up the Gambit computer. It wasn't a lovely gal in the pub, just a machine and he goes to town! LOL

Watch it, Belkov, Tarrant said he was trained to fly those ships, not that he can.

Tarrant can fly ships, but he can't land a ship. The end of this episode is proof - look at the choice he makes...

Brian Blessed's evangelism worked via the intergalactic power of his voice spreading the Word from planet to planet!

Tarrant and Dayna have fallen for the oldest trick in the book.

Wonder what sort of relationship Gambit might have had with Orac?

How come Gambit explains the rules to Soolin but nobody else?

Perhaps a random factor in its programming?

Soolin is so good that she can even beat a superior version of herself.

Tarrant has the rules explained to him as well by a male version of Gambiit.

Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold!
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!!

This all works out far too easily. Too many coincidences in this story for it to score full marks for me. (Although Servalan does. Always).

Good little episode that, even if the ending doesn't make a lot of sense. See you either next week, or tomorrow, when the Fawlty Towers rewatch becomes even better, if that's possible.

Well thank you for a lovely, if confusing rewatch.
Now to get my hot choccie and maybe snuggle down under a pile of blankets.
See you all next week...from the cold house at the end of the cul de sac with a nice new kitchen that just needs painting now!

I'm tempted to watch the last ten minutes again sometimes. Pausing frequently and taking notes. It might make sense, but who knows. I enjoyed it nevertheless!

Fun rewatch, gang. See you all next time. 'Night.

Dare I ask? Not The Ruts? (They were in Oxford yesterday and are touring ATM.)

Spot on! They were fantastic. Ably supported by TV Smith of The Adverts. I never thought I would ever find myself singing along to Gary Gilmore's Eyes with the bloke who wrote the song on the stage. Then The Ruts DC. They were very loud. We were at the front. I am deaf.
