Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

Woo hoo? is that how librarians greet each other these days?

Looking forward to this!

I'm afraid I am a disgrace to the name of librarian...

Fine by me. How's things with you? Ready for some bone-chilling nastiness from the BBC again?
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Oh yes! EOD begins....

Looks like it's just the two of us to begin with. Starting!

Written by Troy Kennedy Martin, a household favourite here.

Blinding lights to introduce the Darkness. Nice.

Hi - I'm here, and the heating is working! So I'm nice and warm, and ready to watch a TV series I hadn't even heard of two days ago.

OneSparePart
Looks like we have an assembly of great character actors in this.
Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

AnneArthur
It's certainly got the eerie music down pat - although I'm not so sure about these guitars.

AnneArthur
A goods train - the shame of it! (As Henry the Green Engine would say).

M1795537OCVirn
Probably one of those where we're too busy watching to comment! So far, it's really well put together.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

M1795537OCVirn
Pesky Greens!
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

OneSparePart
I am watching it on blu ray...it looks brand new.

A lot of very familiar faces.

AnneArthur
It feels very old-fashioned. I would think of the 80s as being more modern than this.

OneSparePart
Was this Joanne Whalley's 1st big role? Or had she done A Kind of Loving already?

What do you mean by old fashioned?

Oh god, I forgot how she died....

Golly.

I mean the clothes, the buildings, the smoking . . .

Bob Peck is just mesmerising. Can't take my eyes off him.

He's playing it so well. When death is so suddden, so shocking, there's nothing to say.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

M1795537OCVirn
Now I'm wondering what I've left in my stuff that I wouldn't want anyone to find after I died!
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

OneSparePart
Photos in tv and film, especially then, were just publicity stills, like her passport photo.

Brotherhood of Man LPs?

Oh wow! That pink box with the clouds on it. I have a file in exactly the same pattern - I bought it in 1985, for my Spanish notes.

Not a gun, certainly!

Actually, of course the houses would be old-fashioned. People don't rush out and redecorate overnight. But yes, the box is absolutely of the moment.

OneSparePart
So now we ask: what was she involved in?
Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

M1795537OCVirn
Summat's up!
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

That kid is very like

M1795537OCVirn
Pretty good casting all round, really.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

Grrrrrrr THAT woman. Hate hate hate
Grin
Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!

AnneArthur
This is absolutely gripping.

M1795537OCVirn
Have you realised how long these episodes are? Are you both OK for a later finish??
