Accurately observed! Loving these. When does the book come out?

This would be even funnier if it weren't an actual conversation from the first Return To Gauda Prime convention.

Thank you. But I fear the backlog of book orders gets longer. First, the Troll 7 book, now this...

By the way, I guess the 'accurate observation' did not refer to ep. 13? Wink When I did a troll exhibition at school, one of the pictures showed an upside-down 'Australian troll', to which my physics and astronomy teacher commented, 'Bad marks for astronomy!!'

I wasn’t there, and as far as I know, neither was Joe. And wouldn’t TT have gone for wine gum and a chocolate orange instead of a tape measure?

I have to admit that the timing of these adventures seems to be a bit off. But remember, we visited the observatory at night. Hence our trip lasted for several days. After the observatory visit, we went frolicking in the park, then had a pint in the pub (or maybe two... or three...). Now we are ready to further quench our thirst for knowledge in the museum next to the observatory:

A chocolate orange was indeed involved.

Of course it was. Otherwise, how else do you represent the sectors of space Wink

Likewise the wine gums were the cast. Both Travis and Avon were black wine gums, Blake a green wine gum, etc. There isn't a white wine gum, but Servie was in Space Command HQ in Star One, so it didn't affect our careful, painstaking calculations.

Ummm, to be honest, I didn't. I think I've never seen it before. I just used the beanies that Joe introduced in the very first panel as generic headgear.

I have to admit that I hadn't yet thought of that. I am still trying to find out how to bring a photocopier into the strip.

As our observatory trip lasted for several days (visiting not only the observatory but also the museum and spending much time in the park and in the pub), we also had to find a place to stay:

Joe, these are hilarious! Grin Grin Grin

In particular, I nearly choked laughing about the Little trap. By the way, I had my doubts whether I should really include the rather feeble eel trilogy. Now I am glad that I did because otherwise we would have missed out on your eel side joke.

I am also glad that I decided against a career as a comic artist. Looking at the comic strips I "drew" as a primary school kid, even I can't sometimes make out what is going on. And about 50 years later, my illustrations are still as incomprehensible . A lovely lady has already misinterpreteted the stone in episode 14 (*) as a door, and now Spirou enters room 42 through what I meant to be the cupboard. (There is a Narnia joke hidden somewhere.) Seems that I am the Ed Wood of comic illustrations... Shock

(*) I wonder if anybody has discovered the hidden gag in that episode?

After Joe's two strips, this should be no. 24 but I was too lazy to go back and change the numbering:

Huggy, you do yourself a disservice. I love all the detail you add to your drawings - the pattern on the bedspread, the floral wallpaper, etc, and all the detailed items you've created - the barbeque rotissary, the bath tub, the different drinks in the pub, etc. And that's not even mentioning all the different locations. And the triffids look fab!

The producers wish to reassure the audience that no Sues were hurt in the making of this comic strip.

It's very good, Huggy - one might even say it's lovely. I totally flipped at one point. I thought I was going round the bend! That said, you can't go too wrong once you get started.

I hope that's cryptic enough to leave the mystery intact for anyone else who wants to find it.
