Back to Bond - the Man with the Golden Gun, this time. This was around 7 years before that Bond film - so it stole from the Prisoner ![]() I was thinking Indiana Jones. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

And now, Terry Pratchett. Although of course this predates Feet of Clay too. And I wouldn't put Terry Pratchett past watching The Prisoner.

That bell tower looks familiar. Are we now positing that the real Village is surrounded by mock villages, for the express purpose of torturing number 6? |

Someone had lunch with Brian Clemens IMO it's as much Bond as Avengers. Vote Og.

No, it wasn't a drug-induced dream. It was all a fairy story to subvert the minds of the children of the village - No 6 fighting from the inside again!

He certainly seems to be having more success with his 'destroying from within' tactics than he did with the escaping.

And thus every illogical sequence earlier in the story in explained because it was... a story! So meta and so clever. Easily the best of the "weird" episodes of the Prisoner. Shame I don't allow myself to award an episode 11 out of 10

No, it wasn't a drug-induced dream. It was all a fairy story to subvert the minds of the children of the village - No 6 fighting from the inside again! But he hasn't really got anywhere - he's having a good time teasing number 2, but that's all. He's still in the wretched place. |

Well, it all made sense in the end, and it was quite amusing, but I prefer the episodes actually set in the Village. |

He certainly seems to be having more success with his 'destroying from within' tactics than he did with the escaping. Yeah, the weeks he's tried that tactic are the weeks where he's won. Love the little dig at No 2 at the end with the "goodbye children everywhere" remark at the end! Vote Og.
