Has anyone here read The Time Shios by Stephen Baxter? A sequel to HGW's original story. Yep. Didn't like it. I read several of Baxter's but they weren't proper SF, IMO. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Has anyone here read The Time Shios by Stephen Baxter? A sequel to HGW's original story. Yep. Didn't like it. I read several of Baxter's but they weren't proper SF, IMO. Read a few Baxter’s I plan to live forever,or die trying.

I do think this has a good ending When I was a kids I always got frustrated at what book Now I’m older I get it I plan to live forever,or die trying.

One thing bugging me about this film version is that his front door opens onto the street. A gentleman would have - at the very least - a porch, a hall, or in a larger house his rooms would be upstairs.

Definitely prefer the book, but as a film it was watchable. And the effects were better than most - for the technology they had then. Better than some B7 ones, in fact.
