Plenty good SF from 60's and 70's on YT. Forbidden Planet? The Day the Earth Stood Still? Andromeda Strain?? And loads more.

Shall we step out of the 50s then? I was thinking of the andromeda strain actually

'Classic SF' doesn't necessarily mean 50's. Stick it in as a YT search and see what you can find!

That's about a disease isn't it? In that case, would you mind if I gave it a miss? Those are films that really freak me out.

Please note that I am not trying to make you not show it. I am quite happy to miss a week, and com back when there is something more to my liking.

What is 'Enemy Mine' like? I've always been intrigued by the premise, but have never seen it. Any good?

Or how about 'Solaris'? I saw that years ago, but would like to see it again.

It's a watchable film. Not brilliant but not bad.

Do you mean the original or the remake?

I can see where you're coming from. This film would, indeed, freak you out. Quite intense in parts. I'll come up with something to suit all...no monsters....no germs...

I meant the original - but perhaps too subtitled? How about 2001 - or is that too long?

Or 'The Man Who Fell to Earth'?

I really don't mind. It seems a shame that the rest of you should not watch something you enjoy because of me.

SF without monsters/germs is free to explore further because they save the cost of the SFX that took most of the budget to create said 'monsters'. Human nature is usually scarier than any alien anyway.
