No - I was just being a quiet ghost.

Do we know of any other good spooky children's stories, or would we like to try something different?

Sorry, went down a rabbit hole. OK, what's next? There's plenty DUST to go at, if we can't think of anything straight away. And maybe we should consult TT?

DUST?

OK, then. If you're not going to answer, you can't complain if I decide myself.

Anyway, it was an interesting take on the story, if a bit mangled, and everyone acted their parts well. Fabulous house (again). THanks for the idea, AnneA.
Goodnight, folks.

I'm here, but I don't know what to suggest. Do we want more supernatural, or would we like to go back to sci-fi?

Sorry: it's a YouTube channel that premieres lots of short SF films - from comedy to horror and everything in between. Most of them are thought-provoking and well-made.

Anyway, I'll have a think, and post if I can come up with anything. Thanks for watching, and good night!

Three shows spring to mind. Perhaps not spooky enough?

[*] The Box of Delights - which may be too Christmassy for the time of year?

[*] A Traveller in Time - which, like Green Knowe, has a 1970s TV version and a more modern, set during WWII, version (or am I thinking of Carrie's War?)

[*] The Secret Garden - may be too familiar?

Other suggestions:

[*] Carrie's War

[*] The Children of the Stones - with that fellow from that other SF show in it. Can't think what it was called.

[*] Five Children & It

[*] King of the Castle - a bit low rent...

[*] Moondial

Outside the children's fantasy sphere, perhaps:

[*] An Englishman's Castle - a three-part series starring Kenneth More as a TV producer living in an alternative 1970s Britain where Germany won WWII. A young Nigel Havers plays one of his sons.

[*] Diana - an adaption of the R F Delderfield novel, starring Kevin McNally and Jenny Seagrove, with Patsy Kensit as the young Diana.

[*] Noah's Castle - six-part series about a family living in a hyperinflationary Britain.

Dear Joe - thanks for your ideas.

Probably.

Don't you like ANY of the DUST films, then??
Not even the Aussie ones like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYWKQ...YWKQIWfmFw ?

It looks okay but too much bad language for me.

Think you must have hit Dust on a bad day. I haven't come across a lot of bad language, but then I don't watch the nasty ones! (I mean - what's the point?) Plenty other stuff choose from, though. Stick to the 'family friendly' and comedy!
