The Champions Rewatch S01 E02 Thursday 3rd October

Start time 7.45pm

The Champions S01 E02 The Invisible Man
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4hB7...p;index=13

Surgeon John Hallam has perfected an 'invisible man', a device which is transplanted into the ear and 'tells' people to obey instructions. He uses it on banker Sir Frederick Howard, telling him to melt down thirty million dollars' worth of gold from the City of London. Howard is evasive with the Nemesis agents and is later killed, having served his purpose. Hallam and accomplice Sumner transport the gold to the continent. The pursuing Craig gets captured by them and wakes up at a roadside in Holland. He has an 'invisible man' implanted in him and he has to obey its instructions...

I got one of them implants too. A voice keeps saying " watch the wasp woman...watch the wasp woman..."
Then another voice says " eat prawn cocktail crisps..."

It's a nightmare...Smile

Listen to that voice very closely and you'll hear it confirm that 'Misunderstanding' fully warrants its place on 'Duke'. Reflect on THAT, wosp woman, when you're measuring out the solvents at the dry cleaners tomorrow.

Champions Ep 2? I bloody love a good gold heist, me. And Dave Prowse wears one of my leotards.
You shouldn't do that, should do that...

Fortunately I don't need a small voice in my head to tell me to eat Prawn Cocktail Pringles.....hmm, where is that tube?
I love how Mr Damon dives off that wooden 'pier' into the water at Rotterdam; or is it Albania? Or is it just the back lot at Elstree...anyway, I love how he seems to end up in a really nice swimming pool.
And of course, that music as our heroes give chase in the Mercedes and Richard's cool car (a Volvo I think).
Looking forward to Thursday evening now.
Cold! You don't know the meaning of the word cold!
Cold is when you have ice on the INSIDE of your window!!

Rather have Misunderstanding than Please Don't Ask. If push came to shove.

Don't watch the Wasp Woman... Don't watch the Wasp Woman... Don't watch the Wasp Woman.

I watched the first 5 minutes, skipped to the last 5 minutes, and it's 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back Wink

Cygnus Bazza is the one to blame for me spending those 10 minutes watching something with no redeeming features Wink

I don't really do 'Wrath'. Way too much effort. I don't really crank it up higher than 'Slight Petulance'. Good old Petula.
You shouldn't do that, should do that...

Let's face it, TT, you'd only have frittered that 10 minutes away watching a bit of 'Sarcophagus'... Probably one of the bits I don't really understand.Smile

If 'The Wasp Woman' doesn't float your flotilla, how about the other two films in the trilogy:

- 'The wOSP woman'

and

- 'That Waspish OSP Woman'.

Both set in Stoke. Both straight to video. Very much like Stoke, in fact.

Edit - just googled it this morning and the franchise apparently has a fourth film in the pipeline: 'The Revenge of the Return of the Retribution of the wOSP woman: Please Don't Ask'. Plot revolves around WW leaving a trail of destruction through multiple libraries and dry cleaners in the Midlands, before taking to social media to make a list of Pringle-related demands. Someone's seen the rushes and was, apparently, "shocked by the realism".

I honestly read that last bit as 'shocked by the librarian'. That's what spending time with OSP does for you.

Hi Sue! I'm still on the PC Pringles I started at the Tuesday Rewatch, Trying to make them last for the Saturday one as well. Don't hold out much hope of that happening, tbh. How's Hampshire?
