After the gaudy swimming trunks shocker of last week, what surprise does 1973 have for our hero this week?

Here's the daily motion link:

Or just go to the bbc iplayer. Simples. Grin

"My name is Sam Tyler. I had an accident and I woke up in 1973. Am I mad? In a coma? Or back in time? Whatever's happened, it's like I've landed on a different planet. Now maybe if I can work out the reason, I can get home."

That's what you always say. But you didn't warn me about the swimming trunks.

Howdy, TT. What's Og getting up to these days? Does he have any hobbies?

You said no spoilers! You better make your mind up if you want public health spoilers or not.

Well, to be fair, the BBC said it might be disturbing. OK, no spoilers, thanks.

He's getting well paid as a coat-hanger at the moment. He's paid 10 pizzas an hour.

Hello all. I'm just catching up on the previous episode. I think that it was after episode 2 that I gave up on it when it was first aired, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Does that mean you're actually watching ep 2 or you have watched 2 in advance?

I was busy last week and the week before. I didn't like this when it came out - I thought it was like a parody of the seventies, rather than the real thing, not realising that of course that was the whole point. Oddly, I saw the whole of the second series, so I know who Gene Hunt actually is and how the whole thing ends. I'm actually rather enjoying it this time.

Gory details now. Nowhere near as disturbing as...you know what.

I'm just at the end of episode 2 - he's in the hospital, and it's suddenly gone to his life support switching off. I had hoped to get it finished by 7.45, but no such luck.

It's a great thing about this programme: some of the attitudes were terrible but here we laugh at them but don't necessarily agree. Obvs, I'm leaving TT out of this thinking....Grin

That's how it happens sometimes. I bought Tony Bank's 1st solo album (Genesis) but didn't 'get' it. Played it a 2nd time 2 years later and loved it. One of my fave all time albums.

They missed a trick in not playing some Pink Floyd then. Us and Them was 1973.
