Shouldn't 'tellings off' (sic) have a hyphen? as in 'tellings-off'?
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

I always think that sort of thing is something you choose or choose not to do. Well, that's what I tell myself. What-the-hey!

He's left his telly running all day! No wonder we had a 3 day week.

Won't his batteries run out by the time he gets back to that radio?

Probably. The telly will be burning hot too.

Boom. Oh dear, sam'll be in trouble now.

Sorry, you were right, it was the TV he left on. But that's the least of his worries now.

No he left the radio on too. There was that dialogue between the telly man and the radio man.

Yep, this would be a good time to get whisked back to real life and away from this mess.

Are all policemen always so grumpy?

I'm glad I was too young to have seen the rancour against the Irish. Just heard the Irish jokes...

They might have been back then. They're just a bunch of tea bag/milk/ mug/ lunch stealing gits these days.

I wonder if any of these lovely old buildings are left 20 years after filming?

Well he was showing some signs of learning a few good lessons off Sam.

Lovely irony!

Gripping stuff. I can tell by the fact neither of us are posting much! Definitely one of the better episodes. I suspected Miller to start with,

Nail biting episode. Especially when you can remember the ira mainland bombing in the 70s. Mind you, they weren't the only ones at it back then

I knew you would, inspector clouseau.

The doctor and the man from hyde on the phone...

That was rather excellent.

You'd think Sam would be suspicious of phones by now. So it all worked out nicely in the end. And the IRA scored a few more converts.

Well, he was shifty about everything really. And he was 'the boss'. But his yard was a mess and he had too many people 'working' in such a small space. But that's probably the director's fault.

This series has more drama in it than the 1st. Not a bad thing. But a few laughs are to be had next week....

So what's Easter weekend looking like for the OSP household, then? Do they let you out of the library for a day or two? Lots of chocolate?

So that's suspicion by film maker rather than suspicious activity?

Agreed: they've stopped trying to establish/remind us about how all the various characters fit together and are just getting on with some good storytelling.

Miller had only had a couple of lines before Sam understood it was him, so yes, the director set him up.
