Is it like in Space: 1999 when you don't really need to see all the episodes? Do you need to see the previous episode to understand everything?

Is it like in Space: 1999 when you don't really need to see all the episodes? Or you need to see the previous episode to understand? It's very much alien of the week. In fact, Space 1999 was made from left over UFO stories when this show was cancelled. Silflay hraka, u embleer rah!
