This week: Episodes 3 & 4
Don't forget you will need to cue up the next episode since the whole series is uploaded as one whole unit. There is a helpful fast forward arrow which will take you to the next episode cue.

Well, as usual for cinematic/ television space travel, things have gone wrong from the start. They are on Mars but who...or what...is also there with them?

Just watching the first two episodes. I saw this when it came out, and I remember how wonderfully atmospheric it was. But I only saw one series, I think - I didn't know there were more.

I remember the Russian being rather sexy, in a haggard sort of way. Now, thanks to Taiellin, I know that he is speaking very bad Russian, but he's still kind of sexy.

He's the Dick Van Dyke of continental acting.

No, he doesn't look like Russian at all. Oh, well, never mind about that. Starting?

Hi, gang. How's our one-armed bandit today? Yes, definitely atmospheric, AnneA. I hadn't seen it at all, but I'm impressed so far.

That is very much a matter of opinion.

I am pleased that they respect Soviet astronauts, but he doesn't even look like Komarov.

Beginning. And having seen the first two episodes dubbed into (good) Russian, I'm now watching in French.

Does anyone know what happened at the beginning of the last episode, when the subtitles gave out?

No - completely unlike him. I think they've chosen this man because he looks rather unsettling and unearthly.

Yes, then the same guy in an isolation bed.

They work, but I like the space scenery better, that's all.

They certainly correctly predicted the era of space exploration being funded by eccentric billionaires. Good thing there's no Musk here, though.

Komarov behaves unnaturally, and I don't believe in the reactions of some other people.

I think 'going on foot' may prove to be a bad idea. Just a feeling I have.

How should I explain this? I don't know. Yes, there is such version, but it should be told completely different. I just don't believe when the creators of Missions try to tell this story, including sacrifice, but excluding everything else.

Doesn't he think he's been captured by the Americans, who are trying all sorts of mind tricks on him - so he doesn't react?

It seems to me he doesn't think at all.
