2026, eh? January, eh? We need a piercing bright light to banish those wintry woes. Specifically, we need a piercing bright light to banish wintry woes on Wednesdays – the week’s prime time for a mental health dip, according to those all-important 'metrics'. Let’s indulge in a spot of vox pop. (Not Ultravox pop. That’s something different and means nothing to me.) How should we utilise the first brilliant Flash Wednesday of 2026? Continue our Crud Crusade? Uncage the WET GECKO, having successfully reduced ‘Metropolis’ to builders’ rubble back in October? Road-test the Month of Sundays concept? (Remind yourself what that's about at https://blakes7online.com/forum/viewt...ad_id=1030. E.g. M1/HGV could batter us with something she finds ‘entertaining’ but no-one else would give houseroom, even in someone else’s house.) Let me know what you think. My door is always open. (That’s another one for my New Year DIY ‘to do’ list.) |

Although the Month of Sunday's option sounds enticing, and the Wet Gecko experience of Metropolis was really entertaining, I think to start the new year, we should do a Crud Club, and work up to the other options each ensuing month. I was thinking 'It Conquered the World', from 1956 with Peter Graves and Lee Van Cleef. If any of you feel differently, please say so. I'm flexible.

I was thinking 'It Conquered the World', from 1956 with Peter Graves and Lee Van Cleef. If any of you feel differently, please say so. I'm flexible. 'It Conquered the World' has all the right crudentials to be our next Crud Club cab off the rank. Having said that, the voting's currently on a bit of a knife edge so I'll give it until the end of the week to let our impeccably democratic process play out, as I don't want a stiff email winging my way from any human rights organisations. |
