Ah, then I haven't. But I do live in a part of York called Clifton.

I found spoilers, so I knew who it was. I like spoilers, so it is fine.

I doubt it. 2-up, 2-down terraced houses are rarely the setting for ghost stories.

I wonder if the Jungle Book thing might be a bit iffy for us snowflakes?

So what are we watching next week, then?

Right, I'm off.
I don't fancy anything where cartoon animals kill each other in Russian. Still think CB had some good suggestions...if only I could remember what they were.

'Remember that your sole purpose in life
Is to act as a warning to others'
(Les Barker, from 'The Verb to Be)

(Also 'Never stand between the dog and the lamp-post'Wink.

How about the Greek one next, and the Jungle Book afterwards, if you want to watch the Greek one. What is it, anyway?

This cartoon is still pretty good. I can suggest something else, of course. On the other way, Anne is fine with it.

Is there a happier story you could suggest?

Vere Lorrimer produced 'Dark Side of the Sun' in the early 80s. Mystery/thriller set on Rhodes. Klegg's in it. Written by the bloke who did 'The Lotus Eaters', 'Who Pays the Ferryman?' and 'The Aphrodite Inheritance'.

If we go Greek, we could slot in Tai's wild swans straight after. Let's give the Greek series a go for a couple of weeks - if it's not up to scratch, we can always bale out. (It's 6 eps in all.)

As in Hans Christian Anderson?

But I would really like to see the Jungle Book. Even if animals die.

By the way, Bagheera is female for two reasons. First, the word panther is feminine in Russian. Second, Bagheera sounds like female name for us.

Still, it is a bit gloomy. The cartoon is happier, though it sticks to the story.

Interesting! It sounds like a female name to me too - but I think that in the book he's male. Kaa the snake is a much more positive character in the book.
