Apparently it's a lot easier to climb up that tunnel than it was to go down it. Have you ever climbed a tree? Yes always easier to go up than down I plan to live forever,or die trying.

One thing bugging me about this film version is that his front door opens onto the street. A gentleman would have - at the very least - a porch, a hall, or in a larger house his rooms would be upstairs.

Definitely prefer the book, but as a film it was watchable. And the effects were better than most - for the technology they had then. Better than some B7 ones, in fact.
