The Time Machine (1960)

Definitely prefer the book, but as a film it was watchable. And the effects were better than most - for the technology they had then. Better than some B7 ones, in fact.

A thought provoking film. If anyone wants to try, an unofficial chapter of the film can be seen via the 2nd link of my intro.

Thanks, i seen it though lol

Survivors too
Ends up at the end of the earth ,giant crabs and jellyfish

Americans always have to have a positive ending. Even if that ruins the point of the book.

Thanks for choosing and organising it, OSP. I wonder what you'll come up with next week? More George Pal, perhaps?
Anyway, nice talking to you all. Enjoy your Speedway next week, TT. We'll miss you.

His ending is a different too! In the book, he just disappears somewhere back into the future, NEVER to return!

Eostre was a goddess of spring: people sacrificed babies to her in the hope that she'd be pleased enough to come back every year. I'd rather celebrate Chocolate Sunday, but thanks for the thought.

Well, not to his own lifetime anyway, the first person narrator of the book tells us so.

That was a great idea, TT. So glad we took you up on it! It's a film we could watch over and over again.

Hold on, just to pop back to Ancient Greece to pick up Og. He is standing in for the Minotaur, so that the Minotaur can take a week's holiday. I will be out for a few days - will be back three weeks ago.
