Watched '663 Squadron' last night starring Cliff Robertson, as an American Mosquito pilot leader in the RAF during WWII. One of the WAAF's was Suzan Farmer, Meegat from Deliverance and not only was she in it but her character name was Mary BLAKE! We did laugh at that one.

Not TV or Film oriented, but in the clearance carts at my local grocery store were little gnome Christmas ornaments and they were holding name plaques. It seemed that the name 'Caleb' and another name were the only ones which didn't sell so I sifted through the box and found two gnomes with the plaque 'BLAKE' and bought them just because! I know, I'm obsessed.

Yay!!!!On Rewind TV yesterday...DRAKE'S VENTURE starring not only John Thaw (with his lovely Cornish Accent) but our equally lovely Mr D in full Avon mode, as Thomas Doughty. It took almost over an hour for Blake...I mean Drake to get thoroughly annoyed with the conniving Mr D...and Mr D ended up having his head lopped off!
I haven't seen Drake's Venture since 1980 and his nibs is sporting that beard from the Adventure Game. If Rewind TV has shown it after all these years, one wonders if the show is now available on DVD!

Really? That's too good. We don't have the joy of such channels here. I'd love to see it in nonfuzzyvision. However, I do own the clapperboard for it...

Josette Simon has been doing well on Australian screens this week.

First on a repeat of Law & Order: UK S6.E1 'Survivor's Guilt', then on the latest Silent Witness S27 (crikey!) Ep1, 'Effective Range' as DCI Ford.

My mum has been rewatching some of her favorite Tom Baker Doctor Who episodes. I was visiting family, but I got a text from her while she was watching the Sunmakers and said, “Look, it’s Vila!” She was very impressed with how different Michael Keating’s character is in that episode from her favorite thief.
Don’t be sorry. Be quiet.

The other day, I watched the 1977 version of Treasure Island starring lots of B7 actors, including both Travii! (There is even a scene where Travis II shoots at Travis I, but misses.)

On John Silver's side, we have Travis I, Zukan and Deva (plus Survivor's veteran Tom Price and the Second Doctor).
The Jim Hawkins party includes Travis II and the nameless System slave from Redemption, and his father is none other than Groff.

There is also Jack Watson as Billy Bones, who was a regular on Arthur of the Britons (which had Tom Chadbon in the first episode).

And don't forget Gareth Thomas as the miner at the beginning, and Barbara Shelley (Dr. Plaxton) as Andrew Keir's assistant. Great flick.

Watching Revenge of the Cybermen today on the Doctor Who channel and was pleasantly surprised to see Jeremy Wilkin (Dev Tarrant from The Way Back), Ronald Leigh-Hunt (Auron central control from Children of Auron), David Collings (Deva from Blake), Kevin Stoney (Joban from Hostage) and Pat Gorman (various cameo appearances) as a Cyberman. Wow!

Two B7 connections in this week's Doomwatch episode on TPTV. First Hildegard Neil as a white coated scientist - wife of Brian Blessed of course. Secondly, Robert James who appeared in ep1 of B7, The Way Back as Ven Glynd.

Watching Doctor Who The Armageddon Factor, guest starring from Blake's 7 were William Squire (the Shadow and the Kommissar from Horizon, Davyd Harries (Shapp and and Doran in Moloch) Valentine Dyall (Black Guardian and Sherm in City at the Edge of the World) Barry Jackson (Drax and Kendall in Mission to Destiny) and Pat Gorman (pilot and various episodes of B7)

Finished watching Seek-Locate-Destroy on Blu-Ray the other night, and when I switched back to regular TV, who was the first face I saw? it was Gareth Thomas in an episode of Heartbeat being aired on 7mate (a channel down here in Aus)

A couple of days earlier, Brian Croucher popped up in an advert for some brand of tiles whilst watching a retro TV You Tube channel.

I am working my way through classic Who on the iplayer. Nearly at the end of Jon Pertwee's run. The number of B7 faces in this last series is getting ridiculous. Family time!

The Satellite Show (1989) - check out the intergalactic news readers about 1'23" in. Both ends of the spectrum here, costume-wise: Travis S1 and Avon S4.

Watched a favorite film of ours last evening- 'Where Eagles Dare' starring Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood. Also starring Robert Beatty (Bran Foster from The Way Back) and William Squire (Kommissar from Horizon). Brad always says it should have been Avon in Richard Burton's place, Tarrant in Clint Eastwood's place, Jenna in Mary Ure's place and Cally in Ingrid Pitt's place. A good flick.

Watched Journey to the Center of the Earth the other day. It's a favorite of ours and we try and watch it at least once a year. Then, we watched Sink the Bismarck last evening and enjoyed that one. And still watching one episode of Thunderbirds per week and loving it.

Glynis Barber is on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip this week. I wonder if they will mention her B7 appearances? Certainly Eastenders and Dempsey and Makepeace will get a mention.

Watching Doctor Who Robots of Death on our ROKU channel today, I know most people know that the cast included a number of B7 actors and writers like writer Chris Boucher, actors Pamela Salem from The Way Back, David Bailie, from Project Avalon, Brian Croucher, Travis II, David Collings, Blake, but I also spotted those metallic blue shelving units seen in Seek, Locate, Destroy, and also the couch seen in the Way Back- in Ven Glynd's office-now in the lounge of the Sandminer! BBC rule number one- never waste a prop!

The mention of Kaldor City in both Robots of Death and Headhunter is usually cited as the link to prove that B7 and DW exist in the same universe.
Personally I always found the presence of the same couch in both universes far more compelling. If Space Ikea furniture is good enough for the Sand Miners, it's good enough for the Federation Legal Department.
I also like to think of B7's Malcolm Travis as the twin brother of DW's Borg Travis.
I look exactly as Avon reasoned I would.

Next Saturday's leg of the Paris-Nice cycle race is a 175km route from Nice to Auron. Blimey, I always imagined Cally's home planet was a lot further away than that.

I watched part one of the 1977 BBC "Treasure Island", with the ever-excellent Alfred "Frank Marker" Burke as Long John Silver and Patrick Troughton as Israel Hands. Every time Blind Pew spoke, I thought "That's David Collings", but I couldn't recognise him with his hat and blind-eye contact lens. As I watched it further, I realised that the boy playing Jim Hawkins was Ashley Knight, who I knew as Ken, the inventor of Metal Mickey.

Because of this, I was glued to the credits. Not only was David Collings there to make a B7 connection, but Roy Boyd was in it, and Stephen Greif -- and I didn't even spot him. Michael E. Briant was the producer.

(I'd forgotten this was full of familiar faces - Mr Cheeseman from Dad's Army (Talfryn Thomas), Jo Kendall, Barry Letts directing, etc. Plus Brian Croucher turns up in a later episode.)

Thanks Hugbot. Jack Watson is a particularly good fit for this, as Billy Bones, with his hard-worn features.

And as you probably also know, Gareth Thomas was in it as the workman at the start of the flick, Barbara Shelley, Dr. Plaxton from Blake's 7 was in it and Duncan Lamont, who was slated to play the character of Blake before his untimely death. It's a great little flick.

I've probably spotted this one before, but one of our local channels does an admirable job at repeating repeats, so I was overjoyed to see Paul Darrow and Nick Brimble (General - "Traitor"Wink appearing together in Law & Order UK S7 E5, "Mortal", Mr. Brimble as Dr Hastings and PD as Justice Prentice. Paul Darrow clearly enjoyed playing the ascerbic judge.
