Of course it did. That's what satnavs do!!
I look behind me, what do I see? A pair of golden wings seem to be attached to me.

Bad news! Has anyone here seen The Poseidon Adventure?

As long as there's a Christmas tree onboard, we'll be fine!

I saw that at the cinema when it came out...I can remember shouting at Don't do it Gene! just as Mr Hackman was hanging from that big wheel.
I'd totally forgotten where I was and my friend Julie was terribly embarrassed......

It's OK - he survived and became Superman's arch-nemesis instead.

"Recalculating!" as the American GPS systems say.

I think we need some more get-lost-Pringles, especially as the fish ate the last batch.

Don't worry about them getting lost. TT has been crushing up Pringles and dropping crisp crumbs overboard to leave a trail on the surface of the (immensely calm, flat) sea that we can follow ba-- hang on! What are those fish eating? Shoo! Shoo! Get away from those! Aargh

Joe, you really should have suggeted that in a PM. It would have made for an hilarious episode!

Now you say it, I'm kicking myself that I didn't. I can imagine what your cartoony fish eating the Pringles would look like, and TT's cross expression as he leans over the railing to shout at them...

I should not think so. Remember, I'm not totally Dutch!
At the time of "De Vliegende Hollander" and the VOC (Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie) my family was in the former colony Nederlands-Indië (Indonesia).
However, I am familiar with Wagner's opera based on the saga.

I love all the fun and admire creativity here!
Am I allowed to use this alter-ego image of mine as avatar? (I am getting too old for the image I am using now)
*No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

Yes, of course. Although that would be a pity given your lovely portrait, wouldn't it?

OK now I'm getting a little spooked, Hugbot. You make a reference to Dark Shadows, a gothic soap opera which premiered in America in 1966, and was an instant hit with the teens here, me included. How do you know about Dark Shadows, and Collinwood, and Collinsport being in Maine?

Before I zoomed into the last strip, my guess was that the Vampire was saying something that riffed on:

When the tide runs low in the smugglers' cove,
And the 'eadless 'orseman rides above,
He drives along with his wild hallo,
And that's the time when the smugglers go in their little boats to the schooner and bring back the kegs of brandy and rum and put them all in the Devil's Cove below.

I reckon the Flutonic Reactor will end up being found down the back of my settee. Already found the missing four months between Space Fall and Cygnus Alpha down there.

Remember the Orac rewatches when you and Brad made Dark Shadows comments about the surf rolling in (on the landlocked quarry)?

Maybe I should add a signature line with a Miranda-style disclaimer: Everything you say can and will be used in a future post, troll cartoon or Observatory strip.

Quoted from Moore Marriott - probably an ancestor of a certain well-known space medic?

Huggy, have you ever considered a career in Federation Intelligence? We could use a memory like yours.

Glad Huggy wasn't with us in this encounter. He'd go off with the Ultra (love the little detail of one of the Ultra having hair!) and volunteer to take part in the human bonding ceremony with Dayna Grin
