For me, it is one of those films that is so good that I don't care about the things that "don't work" . It is credible and so it works...for me. Not everyone's cup of iced tea. ![]() It's a lot of fun! But I ...my friend wasn't scared at all. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

You don't get to see too much of the alien, which is a good thing - scary monsters don't bear too much examination. The effects are still extremely impressive, all these years later. Yep - van der Graaf generators running amok! Illuminating I plan to live forever,or die trying.

I can't remember being really frightened by any film/TV: I was more scared by books - because of what my imagination created from the text. One invents one's own rats - as in Room 101.
