I like a nice stroll around the graveyard...

Minty doesn't - the graves of the poor little children bore her.

Old one and I think she was version no 2.

The dialogue all sounds very improbable just now. The aunt slaps her, but doesn't apologize, and all the talk about her mother's accident just sounds very far-fetched.

That's what you get for calling me 'nibs'. It was filmed on location at Belton House, Cambridgeshire.

And wasn't that old chap, the old geezer in Have His Carcase with Harriet Walter and Edward Petheridge?

It's childrens' TV. People don't have proper breakdowns etc. all very simplistic.

Like they're getting it out of the way to cut to the main story.

Yes. It just seems so improbable that she would be interested in ghosts when her mother might be dying.

Well when you put it like that, I think kids would do almost anything not to think about mum being seriously ill.

Give me a minute to catch up.

OK, that means I have time to inhale a few PC Pringles...

OK, that's finished then - and we still don't know whose hand will go through whose.
Are we starting episode 2?

Right - just started.

I liked her encounter with the servant boy, especially each thinking the other a ghost.

Yes, it's as OSP said - they've got the set-up out of the way, and it's really getting into its stride. But where's Servalan?

Why is that 'sundial' so high up?

I looked up Belton Hoouse. It's actually in Lincolnshire. Should have known not to believe anything on Google. It's National Trust, so you can viait it.

Be patient, my child. Not just yet. Have to get the annoying ghost people sorted out first.

Isn't it interesting how so little has changed at the house since Victorian times? Even the trees are exactly the same height...
